Renault Duster, the iconic compact SUV that revolutionized the mid size SUV segment with its rugged design and impressive performance, is gearing up for a next-generation makeover. As anticipation mounts among automotive enthusiasts, let’s dive into the realm of possibilities and explore what the revamped Renault Duster has in store for eager consumers.

What to expect –

All New Platform – Built on the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s modular CMF-B platform, the new Duster benefits from advanced engineering shared across global models. This platform, known for its versatility and efficiency, ensures a solid foundation for the Duster’s evolution and will be localised for production in India.

  • Wheel Base  – 2673 mm
  • Overall Height – 1693 mm
  • Ground Clearance  – 200 mm to 217 mm depending on 4*2 or 4*4 capabilities.
  • Boot Space – 472 Litres
  • Fuel Tank Capacity – 50 Litres

Powertrain –

Renault may continue its 1.0 L Turbo Petrol 3 cylinder engine used in its Kiger and Nissan Magnite along with a 1.3L Turbo petrol Mild Hybrid and 1.6 L Strong Hybrid Petrol engine. Sadly India specs will not get any Diesel variants on Duster.

Other Features – The next gen Duster is expected to come with new set of features to compete with the existing rivals in the market. Some of them are,

India Launch – While the Renault Duster is set to make its India debut by late 2025, anticipation runs high among enthusiasts. Positioned to compete against formidable rivals in the midsized SUV segment, including the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Volkswagen Taigun, the new Duster aims to carve a niche with its rugged appeal and brand equity. Expected to be priced around the Rs 20 lakh mark, the Duster promises to captivate Indian consumers with its blend of versatility, performance, and affordability.
